‘This Month Matters’
is a simple way your school can make a
big difference.

Nayamba Trust is a UK-based charity that supports Nayamba School, a rural primary school in Zambia offering free education to children who need it most.

This year, the community around Nayamba School is facing some of the toughest conditions in its history. A prolonged drought, daily 16-hour power cuts, and rising food prices have severely impacted local families who are no longer able to grow their own food. At the school, we provide each child with one nutritious meal a day – often the only one they’ll receive.

But we can’t do it alone.

We’re inviting schools across the UK to choose one month in the year to support Nayamba through a simple fundraising activity. It could be a non-uniform day, a bake sale, a classroom challenge or a sponsored walk — whatever suits your school best.

It costs £1.40 to feed one child for one month.

This month’s shout out!

Exminster Primary School

Well done Exminster Primary for raising £725 with a non-uniform day! 🎉

  • You can just organise an event on behalf of Nayamba but we’d love to know so that we can provide any extra support if needed. We’d also always love to give you a shout out on our social media - so why not pick a month now and let us know.

  • Yes, yes, and yes again. We’d love you to share as much as you can on Social, just make sure you tag us in any of your posts (we are on Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn).

  • It depends. We are a small team but will always try and help anyone who is fundraising on our behalf, even if that is just to share on our social channels to try and encourage more people to join in! If we can join you for an assembly then we definitely will!

  • Absolutely not - whatever you decide to to, however big or small, every bit helps. With our 100% model everything goes directly to the school.
